Here’s how it differs from other caller ID solutions:
- Caller ID (CLI): Shows only the phone number of the caller.
- CNAM: Adds a business name (up to 15 characters) but works only on landlines in the U.S. and Canada and relies on outdated databases.
- Branded Caller ID: Provides a modern, customizable caller ID experience for mobile phones, showing your business identity on supported networks and devices.
- Number Registration: Confirms your business as a trusted caller and reduces spam labeling risk but does not change what recipients see.

Branded Call coverage varies by region and device type:
- U.S.: Verizon, T-Mobile, and unlocked Samsung phones (not currently on AT&T).
- Canada: Rogers, Bell, and unlocked Samsung phones.
- United Kingdom: EE, BT, VMO2 (Virgin Media O2) and unlocked Samsung phones.
- Australia: Unlocked Samsung phones only.

Once you’ve uploaded your numbers and set up your branding in the Hiya platform, your branded display typically goes live within a few hours to a couple of days. This time allows Hiya to verify your business details and ensure your numbers are properly configured across the carrier network.
No integration is required. Branded Call works at the network level, so you simply upload your phone numbers into the Hiya platform and set your branding. It’s fast, seamless, and code-free.
Hiya prevents spoofed calls from displaying your brand by authenticating every outbound call at the network level. When your system places a call, it first sends a brief API “pre-announcement” that allows Hiya to verify the call’s origin and match it to your registered business numbers.
Only authenticated calls are eligible to display your branded caller ID on participating networks. Spoofed or unverified calls are either rejected or shown without branding, helping protect your customers from fraud.
